Celebration - Definition

  1. To observe (a day or event) with ceremonies of respect, festivity, or rejoicing.
  2. To perform (a religious ceremony): celebrate Mass.
  3. To extol or praise: a sonnet that celebrates love.
  4. To make widely known; display: a determination on the author's part to celebrate... the offenses of another (William H. Pritchard).

There are many forms of celebrations in our culture. Anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, events, and many others.

Food is almost always a part of our celebrations. Fireworks are some of the earliest technological advancements in pyrotechnics. They were originally invented in China, but are used all over the world for celebrating events!
In Washington D.C. we were invited to a Twilight Tattoo, a celebration for the military and a chance for history to be shared with new generations.
